Do you own a Ski~Mojo?
We are happy to share with you these important usage tips:
I have carefully read the User Manual
The first pages of the User Manual contain important recommendations regarding the use of your Ski~Mojo. Your safety and the enjoyment you will get from using the Ski~Mojo are our top priorities, and we are convinced that reading these recommendations will help you make the most of your new equipment and better understand its strengths and limitations.
I pay attention to the maximum flexion of the Ski~Mojo
The Ski~Mojo leg allows for a maximum flexion of 120°, which is more than enough for skiing and snowboarding. Forcing the flexion of your Ski~Mojo beyond this angle can result in immediate or delayed breakage (not covered by the warranty). Therefore, it is important to be cautious in the following cases:
- When kneeling down;
- When getting up from a fall;
- When boarding a lower-than-usual chairlift: as you sit down, position your hips to the right of your right foot (or to the left of your left foot), as if you were sitting side-saddle. This technique reduces the flexion angle of your legs (even if it takes up a little of your neighbor’s space 😎).
- When practicing telemark: keep your knees at least 10 cm off the ground during your lunges. Repeatedly going lower will weaken the plastic of the leg and will lead to immediate or premature breakage over time.
When I go skiing far from any Ski~Mojo retailer
Our Ski~Mojo retailers are numerous (more than 500) and spread across many resorts. Material breakage is rare but always possible, and these retailers will be able to help you get your Ski~Mojo back up and running, most often within the day. However, they are not yet available everywhere!
If you are going skiing in a remote location or if Ski~Mojo is not represented near your vacation spot and your Ski~Mojo is essential for skiing, we recommend that you equip yourself with a spare parts pack. This Pro-Pack will allow you to quickly and independently fix any issues. Upon your return, you can simply have the broken part repaired to replenish your Pro-Pack.
I have doubts about the settings or effectiveness of my Ski~Mojo
An issue with the effectiveness or discomfort of the Ski~Mojo is usually the result of suboptimal settings. If, after consulting the User Manual and our FAQs, you are unable to resolve this issue, do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form, explaining the problem in detail. We are very responsive and will be able to advise you to ensure your Ski~Mojo experience is a success.
Taking care of my Ski~Mojo
Each week, I make sure that my Ski~Mojo is in good condition and that no screws have loosened due to the vibrations absorbed by the Ski~Mojo: particularly the adjustment clips on the rods and the connectors on the boots. If needed, a quick tightening with the supplied Allen key will fix the issue.
Just like the chain is the transmission belt of a bicycle, the inner cable is the transmission belt of the Ski~Mojo. We recommend changing this cable every 70 to 90 days of use (or each season for instructors skiing daily).
This operation is carried out in the workshop during the servicing of your Ski~Mojo. It will reduce the risk of breakage during the winter and, therefore, the need for emergency repairs or part replacements. Please note: the servicing is only offered during the summer off-season.
